A preliminary discussion:
- Color Scheme: Earth tones
- Deep brown/beige
- Fall colors: muted reds/yellows
- Green
- SUGGESTION: some brighter reds, yellows, maybe purples?
- Lighting:
- In room Have dimmed lighting to complete forest-like feel
- Work with production to plan lighting scheme onstage
- Have 'nature soundtrack' playing in the bakground as people enter
- Stage: several suggestions have been given
- Minimal stage decor, some lights in the colors of, some leaves framing the stage
- Huge cardboard tree backdrop around which show takes place.
- Chispa Logo instead of flags?
- where is the chispa logo
- can it be incorporated?
- should we create a logo for the event itself?
- NO FLAGS.
- Minimal stage decoration?
- Week of March 17th - must have budget ready to discuss. voted on in-meeting
- Monday March 24th: Representative should come ready to present to Exec Board on Monday at 630pm
- Week of March 31st: purchase materials, begin construction

Here are some suggestions maybe on some music you can suggest to performing groups...
Tambor Urbano (They're an AMAZING Venezuelan group that has a lot of african influence)
Maybe Punta by some group, this may be more difficult to find however.
And if there is reggaeton>>I think some group should definitely do El Rey de los Curanderos by Don Omar... that would be a real cool way to fuse everything together.
I love the color scheme although maybe we can mix those earth tones with some brighter mustard yellows and strong orange colors, even some fusia i think would really nice.
I don't think food will be served this year, so maybe I could help you ;)
